OVER $285,000 RAISED!
The 2011 Innovative Fitness Canuck Place Adventure Challenge Weekend was a HUGE success!
Despite the rain, participants in both North Vancouver and Cultus Lake felt the rewards of facing a personal challenge and for many, sharing it with a team.
Many Canuck Place families and children participated in each of the events and this certainly brought home the purpose of the challenge.
Thank you to all our participants for braving the weather and for all their hard work fundraising, to all our donors for their incredible generosity, the sponsors who made sure our racers were fed, massaged and so much more, and last but not least, to the over 170 volunteers needed to run both events. Your time is invaluable to the success of each race, and we thank you for giving up your Saturday and Sunday to help out!
Canuck Place is honoured to have so many in our community who are willing to go above and beyond to meet the needs of children and families facing life-threatening illnesses in BC. THANK YOU!
Registration for 2012 will be open in January, so mark your calendars and make sure get in on the fun early.

“The entire experience is amazing, from training with your team to completing the legs. But nothing was greater than 7 Freakettes crossing the finish line together, all at once to the cheering of family, friends and other teams who are, with the rest of us, really one team coming together for a common goal. Through the entire race, there was no shortage of support and high fives from “rival” teams and the energy is relentless, even when you want to do nothing more than lay on the ground and rest.” – Fitness Town Freakettes
